ALIVE LOVE is a page from my Mexico journal, that I'm attempting to get published in my absolute favorite magazine: "Art Journalling". I'll be sending off the journal on Monday, May 6th...fingers crossed. If you have a secret desire to see beauty in hand-made journals, along with the pleasure of reading someone's heartfelt outpourings of their inner soul on a page, this magazine is a MUST-Read. Vicarious pleasures...heart-rending and uplifting poetry, quirky scraps from our exquisite and sometimes tortured lives. It's published by Stampington Press of California, and for those tempted to pick up a copy, it's carried by most of the independent book-sellers. In Milwaukee, check on Downer Avenue, at Boswell Books, where I have scored my copies, before deciding, like an addict, to subscribe.

Loving a WET DARK spring

We've been having TOO much rain! But I forgive Mother Nature...I am in my studio working on a commission for my dear grace-filled girlfriend, Dianne Weiss. I'm painting her Life Story and in the meantime, doing other Spring pieces, like this one of falling blossoms, a Robin and her two nestlings. Watercolor, Rotring pen and Lots of LOve!

Feature Artist for Wine & Dine, Wisconsin

http://www.chrisannerobertson.com/site2010/aboutme.html

Talk about OVER-Commitment!
Is there such a thing as an artist? I am excited by the process of creation, so met with a girlfriend today, who is a True Financial Wizard...She told me I need to carve out 4 hours a day for painting! Here goes! Today is DAY ONE, as one of my "art gurus", Melody Ross so sagely says.

My Trailer Coquette, 6" square, Pen, Acrylic, Watercolor

I created this piece while taking Melody's Brave Girl's Soul Restoration 1 (and 2, simultaneously!) This was my First summer spent entirely creatively, pursuing my NEW business as Chrisanne Robertson LLC...I am in the throes of re-invention, like many of us around the globe. I look at this time as the fertile ground for creating artful records of dreamy inner states stimulated by Visual beauty. And I have found myself as the Feature Artist for Wisconsin's largest Foodie/Wine Festival, Wine & Dine. This came to be through a chat with my pal David Wise, who is the Marketing Director for Journal Sentinel Communications. My crazy whimsical ads are now running in the Milwaukee JournalSentinel's daily & Sunday papers statewide...and I am CRAMMING on having a Boatload of new art for the big event November 12th & 13th, at the Frontier Airline's Center in downtown Milwaukee.
